Experiment Data Base program (v. 1.40.17) > Using database program

Changing program options

There are many program options that can be set. The options dialog is called using the [File|Options...] main menu command.

On the Tree View Settings tab one can set the following options:

Load Tree View on start; if set, the program automatically opens the Tree view window,

Show file availability; if set, after the Tree View window is called the program displays marks indicating the file existence in the tree view of the base,

Load all nodes at once; if not set only data for nodes that will be shown (see the following option) is actually read from the base. The ‘?’ character is displayed on node icon to indicate, that lower level data has not been checked, but may be present. No sooner than when clicking the node in order to expand it its data will be retrieved and displayed. This setting should be used when working with big databases, for which standard loading procedure (reading all data at once) lasts too long,

View level; indicates an initial state of the tree view of the base when corresponding window is opened.

On the Diagram Settings tab one can set data display options for different kind of data presented, as well as for diagram window in general. See tool tips for more detailed description then frame label can provide.

On the Drawing Settings tab one can set graphic attributes for different kind of diagrams. These attributes are: line thickness, symbol presence and size, sticks (vertical lines connecting data points with X axis or XY plain) presence and font size for axis labels. Further graph attributes may be modified through Graphic Server dialog (called through right mouse button click).

NB!

Graph style (all graph attributes) may be saved for later use; use Graphic Server property dialog, System tab options, Graph Template frame controls, to save and then reload it.

On Miscellaneous tab one can set some other, self-explanatory options.
