4.4.1 Laplace data and results

The spectrum file always has the same root name as the corresponding data file. The data file of the Laplace DLTS system has the ".iso" extension. The extension of spectrum files depends on which numerical program has been used for the analysis calculation and also on the number of point chosen for the analysis. The extensions are detailed in the following table.

The spectrum (actually, the histogram) calculated by the Fast_DC library is always saved with 100 points. The same applies to the spectra assumed for calculations of the simulated transient. These simulated data can be used for testing the efficiency of the numerical routines.

NOTE: If the current transient option is used the spectra files have the “i” character instead of “s” in the file name extension. See the Some minor but important functions chapter for more details.
